Opobians in Diaspora Congratulate Gov. Rotimi Amaechi on his conferment of a National Honor:
We the exco and members of Opobians in Diaspora, congratulate His Excellency Governor Rotimi Amaechi on his conferment of a National Honor of Commander Order of the Niger (CON) by the President and Commander-in-chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

The honor of CON by the Government and people of Nigeria is in recognition of Governors Amaechi’s giant strides in laying an enviable foundation for the development of Rivers State in various spheres namely: healthcare, education, security, housing, roads, infrastructure, etc.
This honor is not only well-deserved, it is a testament to the charismatic and fore-sighted leadership qualities and efforts of Governor Amaechi which has set Rivers State on a pedestal of infrastructure and human capital development.
We call on the Governor to continue with the good works he is doing by ensuring total transformation and equitable spread of development to all Communities in Rivers State to engender better standard of living for all Rivers people. As the popular saying goes: “a masquerade does not see its back while dancing to the rhythm of the drum but the spectators who are watching” Indeed Rivers people, Nigerians and the whole world is watching and applauding your dance steps, Gov Amaechi!
Once again we congratulate the Governor and also urge the good people of Rivers State to continue to support the laudable achievements of Governor Amaechi while providing the enabling environment for more meaningful developments to take place in all the nooks and crannies of Rivers State.
We wish you God’s continuous wisdom and protection as you endeavor to “engrave your name in marble!”
